What to do in Tenerife with children

Teide National Park.

Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, get to know this place that seems to have been taken from another world. Thanks to its unique aesthetics, it has been the setting for numerous international films over the years.

The excursion to see the volcano called “El Teide” (the highest peak in Spain with 3,178 meters and the third largest in the world) is the great attraction of the park.

Climb a stretch of the mountain by cable car and enjoy fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean.

In the area, you will also be able to practice trekking along trails, suitable for all ages, that will take you through different landscapes.

The Botanical Garden and the Palmetum Gardens.

The Botanical Garden is located in the city of Puerto de la Cruz and the Palmetum in the capital of the island, Santa Cruz. Both towns are located in the north of Tenerife.

The wonderful open-air natural space called Palmetum is located on a mountain facing the sea.

In its gardens we will find, in addition to the largest collection of palms in the European Union (about 600), several waterfalls, lakes, streams, trees and shrubs, a museum, an umbraculum and striking wild birds.

Loro Parque: (Puerto de la Cruz)

Loro Parque has been chosen by users of the travel portal Tripadvisor as the best zoo in the world in the years 2017 and 2018.

And rightly so! This zoo is… really spectacular!

True to its name, Loro Park has the largest and most diverse reserve of parrot species and subspecies in the world.
