If you already know what to see in Palma de Mallorca (the capital) and want to see some of the most authentic villages on the island, don’t miss this article.

Come and discover the nooks and crannies of Mallorca with us! 😍

What to see in Mallorca: Unique places to discover.

The Tramuntana Mountains.

This is one of the most unknown and wild places on the island, far from the most famous coves and the most popular areas.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this natural treasure is made up of a mountain system that stretches from the southwest to the north.

Its towns and villages of old houses and stone walls offer us a typical Mallorcan landscape that you will surely love.

Also, in the mountains, we will see torrents, streams and two reservoirs between the mountains: Gorg Blau and Cúber. The environment is so beautiful that you will not stop taking pictures! 📸

We recommend you visit the towns of Pollensa, Deià, Sóller, and Valldemossa (their cobbled streets and their facades of medieval origin will seduce you), as well as the Monastery of Lluc, located in the municipality of Escorca.

Let’s not forget that these towns also have little known coves but very beautiful where you can escape relaxing for a few days.

The lovers of hiking will find in this mountain range its particular sky.

This extensive wetland has been declared a Natural Park. Their visit is free, but you should go to the park reception and write down your entrance to the park.

You have at your disposal 4 routes that you can do on foot or by bicycle.

We believe that it is one of the most special places on the island and you should not miss the opportunity to know it.

Under the Serra de la Tramuntana lies this picturesque mountain village with breathtaking sea views.

As we walk through it, it will give us the impression of being anchored in time. Its streets and Malvasía grape growing areas transport us to the rural Majorca that is so unknown but that is very attractive for its history and customs.

Be sure to visit its historic center and the Tower of Ses Ánimes.

If you have in mind a small escape to an idyllic cove, visit Cala Banyalbufar in the area. The scenery is so beautiful and the area so quiet that we are convinced that you will enjoy some unforgettable hours.

We’ve talked mostly about green mountains and hidden coves, but if you want to visit a fabulous white sandy beach and calm turquoise waters you should head south of the island.

The coast of Santanyí offers us places as exclusive and beautiful as the cove called Caló des Moro: A small corner that perfectly reflects the idyllic landscape that we all know and desire. For many, one of the most special coves on Mallorca!

This traditional Mallorcan municipality is a fabulous place that only a few know about, so tourism is much less than in the most frequented areas of the island.

Des Canonge Port

To get close to this sublime coast, you need to go through a stretch of curves a little long, but it is worth getting to this little piece of Eden and finding a beach that retains all its charm. Not a lot of people, not a lot of pleasure boats around.

Fishermen’s zone for a long time, we believe that this place can become one of your favorite corners within our list of what to see in Mallorca.
