If you’re asking your computer screen what to do in Ibiza it’s because you’ve probably already visited its impressive beaches (if not, Discover some of Ibiza’s best coves with us) and you already know its cozy locations (just in case, What to see in Ibiza: coves, towns, and much more!).
So today we have come prepared with five great plans to enjoy the many opportunities offered by the largest of the Pitiusas beyond sunbathing and dancing until dawn. There is a lot to do in Ibiza, come and find your own private Ibiza!
Let’s go to the circus… to participate!
I don’t know if the joke will ring a bell… “Dad, I want to go to the circus! -No, anyone who wants to see you should come home.” Well, in this case we are going to the circus, but not to see, but to participate. To learn the traditional circus disciplines (juggling, aerial), to practice yoga and, of course, to interact with the artists.
Circolar stands out among the things to do in Ibiza as one of the many and very outstanding initiatives of Ibizacreativa to energize the island with a didactic workshop. In this case we would like to propose an active and endearing approach to the world of circus for all ages and profiles.
Practical information: You will find Circolar between Ibiza and Santa Eulalia, in Cala Llonga (Crta. Cala Llonga 78-82), and on the other side of the number +34 673 86 82 59. Don’t worry, you will recognise the tent…
Feeling that another Ibiza is posible
Ibiza is currently clearly committed to a reorientation of its tourism towards sustainable, low-impact patterns that revalue the island’s natural and cultural heritage. Wellness tourism is one of these new paths.
Along these lines, if you believe that the hippie heritage has remained in the flea markets, it is because you don’t know La Casita Verde, a reference in terms of permaculture and sustainable living. Apart from workshops and weekly events, you will be able to make a customized visit. The best thing to do in Ibiza.
Practical information: The address is Camí des Formas, Jant Josep de sa Talaia, and the telephone number is +34 971 18 73 53. They will open their doors on 6 October and will remain open until the summer of 2020.
Discovering it’s Amunts, rural Ibiza
Winter is the perfect time, in the opinion of many (including myself) to come to Ibiza. If you come between October and March you will discover another Ibiza, you will discover what calm is and you will be able to view the island in a different way.
To visit the north of the island at this time of year will be gilding the lily in terms of tranquillity and contact with the more rural Ibiza. Touring it’s Amunts, as the area is called, is one of the best things to do in Ibiza in winter without a doubt.
Around Sant Joan there is a part of Ibiza made up of small villages and hamlets dedicated to agriculture and livestock and well preserved natural spaces where species such as the falcon are in their element. There is an Interpretation Centre, but it is best to let yourself be carried away…
OUR ADVICE: In winter the island maintains a good Mediterranean climate, although it is more voluble and humid. The most important thing is to know what the weather will be like in Ibiza so that you can plan your outdoor activities.
Sport and adventure in an acrobatic park
For those who are looking for what to do in Ibiza with children, we have an attraction that never fails: the acrobatic park Acrobosc, where the trees and the zip line are the kings. There are several routes of different difficulty to enjoy an active day with the family in a natural environment.
To give you an idea, the blue circuit is for children from 6 years old. It includes 20 games and 7 zip lines, one of which is 40 metres long. The centre will provide you with the required training and equipment.
Practical information: The address of Acrobosc is Avinguda de s’Argamassa, 77 (Santa Eulària des Riu), just 100 metres from Cala Pada. The telephone number is +34 655 33 18 55. For 2019, the closing date is 31 October.
An endless number of à la carte activities
As you can see, Ibiza is a small island in size but huge in terms of cultural, sporting and social life. In other words, you can enjoy numerous experiences throughout the year. Besides, everything is within easy reach…
So what if we just hit the random button and see what comes out? If what you want is to know your options of what to do today in Ibiza, you can consult the cultural agendas of FESUNUC, the Diario de Ibiza, WelcometoIbiza or The Town Hall of Ibiza capital.
Having something to eat, going to the cinema, signing up for a workshop or keeping up to date with market days are just some of the options that Ibiza has to offer you during your stay. Make the most of them!
